Hi Brad,

I have just re-uploaded a show (lwtr1998-08-28) and I have a new problem that may show up for people. Here's the message I get where I'd normally be importing the show:

"This directory is already in use by another show. Directory names are used to uniquely identify shows. To continue you will need to log into the FTP server and rename this directory. A good mechanism to insure that you choose a unique name is to include the source and any special show information. For instance, if this show is a soundboard recording, you might consider renaming the directory /lwtr1998-08-28. If the artist performed multiple shows that day, you might consider adding a brief descriptor (e.g. .radio.) Once you've renamed the directory, return to this page."

Can I assume this will be ok? Also curious about whether the old show that doesn't exist will still appear in the LMA directory.

EDITED AGAIN IT ADD: Here's another warning

The show you are trying to import already exists. The sources currently in the archive are listed below. If the show you are trying to import matches the MD5 checksums of a show already in the Archive, that means you are trying to import a duplicate and you will not have the option to do this. Otherwise you are trying to import an alternative source or a concert that occurred on the same day as another concert by the same artist. This is fine, although you are asked to not import a new source for a show if you know that the source is flawed (skips, pops, etc.).

Your source: Soundboard

The following sources match based on band and date:
Archived source: Laughing Water: 1998-08-28, Soundboard

Glenn - if we delete the original upload that is reporting the XML cannot be found before you try to import the recording again, you won't see either of those messages - and no, you will not see the original in the collection any more.

See your 8/28/1998 recording here:

http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=26831

There is only 1 copy because we deleted the bad details page.

Hope that answers your questions, let me know if not.

Hi Brad, thanks for the info. But now I have spotted a new problem. That show is up but it appears only the SHN files are individually available. It also appears that mp3 files were made and can still be downloaded in bulk. This is a bit odd and given the server issues from last week I thought it should be noted. I hope it doesn't indicate a larger problem.

This will be fixed in a few hours Glenn.
